Equip groups provide an excellent opportunity for individuals looking to deepen their discipleship journey, as well as for those who are facing challenges and in need of support. These groups offer a safe and confidential space where both men and women can find hope, help and healing.

Organized into three stages, Equip Groups are designed to guide you in taking the next steps in your spiritual journey. Whether you are newly saved, navigating a crisis or trauma, or looking to deepen your walk with God, Equip Groups offer a supportive community focused on spiritual growth and transformation.

Equip Groups

Step 1: Biblical Foundations

Step 1 of Equip Groups begins with the Biblical Foundations class, designed to provide a solid foundation for your spiritual journey. Taught by Lakeshore pastors, each session focuses on key topics such as spiritual transformation, identity in Christ, and living a renewed life. Throughout the course, you will have the opportunity to engage with a small group (4-6 people), where you can share your personal experiences, struggles, and growth. Each week also includes a special devotional, aligned with the lesson, to encourage reflection and continued growth throughout the week.

Step 2: Tailored Growth Paths

In Step 2, you will have the opportunity to select a group that aligns with your personal growth and needs. We offer a variety of groups, including those focused on anxiety, fear, marriage, discipleship, and addiction recovery. Options include courses such as Winning the War in Your Mind (for Men or Women), Love and Respect (for marriages), and Maximized Manhood or a Freedom Group. During Step 1, your group leader will work with you to help determine which group best suits your current needs and goals.

Step 3: Small Group Connection

In Step 3, you will connect with a small group that is tailored to your current season of life. The Equip Leadership Team will assist you in selecting a group that will best support your spiritual growth. You can choose from Freedom Groups, Small Groups, or Social Groups, depending on your needs and goals. Our ultimate aim is to help you continue progressing as a devoted follower of Christ, taking the next step in your spiritual journey.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I start with any of the classes, or do I have to begin at Equip Step 1?

Equip is a structured, three-step process, with each step building upon the previous one. All participants begin with Equip Step 1: Biblical Foundations and are encouraged to progress through Steps 2 and 3. Step 1 is a six-week course, and you are welcome to start at any time.
