I'm New

First Sunday of the Month -  Water Baptism takes place during every service during worship

How do I sign up?

Water baptism takes place every First Sunday of the month in the worship service during each service. If would like to get water baptized, you can click HERE, to sign up and receive more information on what to expect.

The next step after Salvation.

Water baptism is letting the world know that you’ve made a heartfelt commitment to following Christ.

Why should I get water baptized?

Jesus commanded us to be baptized in Matt 28:19-20a “Go then and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them into the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe everything I have commanded you...”

Jesus was baptized as an example to us. Matt 3:13 “Then Jesus came from Galilee to the Jordan to be baptized by John.”

Dunked or Sprinkled?

The Greek word used for baptism in the New Testament means to plunge, dip, or immerse in water. Being water baptized is a picture to us of dying to our old self and being raised up a new creation. Mark 1:10 refers to Jesus as “coming up out of the water.” We believe the Biblical example of being baptized is best fulfilled by being immersed, or dunked, in water.

Who should be water baptized?

Water baptism is an important step of obedience that shows others that someone has personally trusted Jesus for their salvation. Every person who believes in Jesus should be water baptized. Having decided to trust Jesus alone for their salvation, they follow Him in water baptism as a symbol of their new life in Him.

“Those who accepted his message were baptized, and about three thousand were added to their number that day.” (Acts 2:41)

What do I wear?

We have everything you need, however, if you want you can wear dark jeans or knee-length shorts and a dark T-shirt (no swimsuits). You can also bring a plastic bag for your wet clothing, a towel, and a change of clothes. But remember we will provide everything you need if you decide to get water baptized, you can come as you are!

What about children?

Luke 18:16 “Jesus called the children to him and said, 'Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of God belongs to such as these.'"

When a child makes a decision for Christ and is old enough to understand the true meaning of water baptism, we gladly baptize them as a symbol of their faith in Christ.

Do you offer a water baptism class for children?

Yes, we do. Contact the Children's Department for meeting times.
