Woody and Deb Blok Sri Lanka
Woody and Deb Blok are faithfully serving the Lord in Sri Lanka. Both graduates of Christ for the Nations, they minister together in a variety of ways, bringing hope and the message of Jesus to many.
After establishing Emmanuel Church in 1991, Woody and his late wife, Melanie, recognized the need to train leaders for this growing body of believers. In response, they founded Harvest Bible Institute, which now equips around 20 students for ministry.
Melanie also founded Save Lanka Ministries to answer the desperate needs of Sri Lanka’s most vulnerable children. Out of this vision came Shepherd’s Heart Children’s Orphanage, a loving home where over 20 children are cared for, educated, and raised to know the Lord.
Today, Woody and Deb carry this vision forward with great passion. Deb has brought her gifts of compassion, discipleship, and organizational leadership, helping to expand children’s programs, strengthen community outreach, and encourage women in the church. Together, they continue to pour their lives into the people of Sri Lanka—teaching, mentoring, and serving so that Christ’s love is made known.
