Dallas Metro Dream Center Dallas, Texas
Dallas Metro Dream Center was formed in 1993 in a combined effort from Clay & Barbara Wallace, six Dallas area churches and Bill Wilson. Their goal is to reach children before they are convinced to quit school, join gangs, do drugs, commit crimes or become pregnant.
Dallas Dream Center has after-school programs Monday through Friday, as well as Saturday meetings. Each week, over 4,000 children receive a personal visit from a Dallas Metro staff member. Utilizing a “Sidewalk Truck”, Dallas Metro goes into heavy drug and crime areas to bring the message of hope. The truck is uniquely designed to carry all the needed equipment to have an action packed Sunday school program right where the children live.
Each year Dallas Metro Dream Center engages in many special outreaches in addition to their weekly action. Thanksgiving Baskets, Christmas Stockings and Gifts and a special Summer Camp are just a few of the ways they are showing the love of Christ to the children living in inner-city Dallas.
